What it is

An expressive robot lamp inspired by Apple's ELEGNT research. Five motors move it, 24 LEDs light the head, and you can teach it a move by grabbing the head and moving it yourself: it records every joint and plays it back.

How it works

  1. Five STS3215 servos: base turn, base tilt, elbow, wrist roll and wrist tilt.
  2. 24 programmable LEDs behind a printed diffuser in the head.
  3. A Raspberry Pi with a microphone hat sits in the base.
  4. One stripped Ethernet cable carries both power and data up to the head.
