What it is
A full-size developer humanoid, 1.2 m tall and 35 kg. The company published the mechanical CAD, the wiring and a simulation model for free, and also sells the DIY kit.
How it works
- 25 powered joints: 6 per leg, 5 per arm, 1 waist and 2 in the neck. The strongest motors are at the hips.
- Each ankle uses two motors working through linkages, giving both tilt directions.
- Motors are daisy-chained like Christmas lights: one cable carries power and data from motor to motor.
- Two computers: one in the torso walks and balances, a Raspberry Pi 5 in the head handles the camera and microphones. Battery: 52 cells.
What you need
- The kit, or a serious budget and machine shop
- Full CAD and wiring files from the repo
- Simulation model to start for free
